The Curious Case Of The SPL……

This week Rangers and Charles Green decided not to attend the kangaroo court of the SPL regarding EBT use from the club between 2000 & 2011.

Also this week, Ian Blair secretary of the SPL decided Celtic had no case to answer over the EBT that they admitted using for Juninho, strikingly they also admitted not informing the SFA or SPL, which is against the rules.

Now a question for Ian Blair & Neil Doncaster. Why did you not pay a lawyers firm, say the lawyers Rangers use, £500 an hour to investigate Celtics use of EBT’S?

Now obviously the above would never happen, I mean the biggest rivals in Scotland’s lawyers investigating the other club, perish the thought!

But wait………Harper McLeod are Celtic’s Lawyers? Harper McLeod represented Celtic AND Peter Lawell wrote a testimonial on their website? That testimonial was taken down when the SPL appointed Harper Mcleod in the case ‘against’  Rangers? Wow, Peter Lawells daughter had a placement at Harper McLeod? Harper McLeod employ Rod McKenzie?  Rod McKenzie who advises Celtic and The SPL?

The above, if not so serious and disgusting, would be laughable.

However, in a world where EBT’S are legal and an administrative error would result in a slap on the wrists there would be no real case to answer.

However this is the World of the SPL , where conflict of interests are the norm and the tail wags the dog, this is a league where an administrative error is seen as more severe than say, covering up child abuse or openly supporting terrorists or Singing songs glorifying a tragedy.

Now Rangers and HMRC have been in dispute for over 4 years over the EBT issue, there was a tribunal which after nearly 15 months has still not released a verdict, and when it does it won’t be a guilty or not guilty verdict.

AND YET!

The SPL, Celtic’s Lawyers Harper Mcleod and the Kangaroo Court reckon in a couple of months they can do what HMRC and the tribunal have failed to do, they think that they can find a guilty verdict, they think that they can then take titles off Rangers.

You know what, under the last regime they might have had a chance, they might have been able to do it, however we are ready for the war, we have the money behind us for a long legal fight, we have the evidence of double standards and conflicts of interest, and we have a board willing to fight you for OUR titles, we will not lie down and take it, we will not take unprecedented punishments from an obsessed clubs lawyers.

One other thing, are the SPL going to demand the English Premier League investigates Arsenals use of EBTS? How about employing Celtics lawyers and sending them on a crusade across the whole of British Football and seeing how many titles they can strip other clubs of and give to their clients at Parkhead.

The conflict of Interests are staggering, the double standards are disgusting.

EBT’s were Legal, EBT’s were widely used across Britain, They were not Tax Evasion.

Financial Doping was another phrase trotted out from The SPL’s investigative teams other client, Celtic, well perhaps that would stand up if Rangers wage bill wasn’t vastly lower than Celtics over the period we are talking about. Robbie Keane on £65k a week? Bobo Balde on £30k a week and a £1m loyalty bonus?

The league titles were won fair and square, on the park, we were the better team, we had the better management team and we triumphed when you failed, you want to steal the titles from us, we will see you in court, we will blow your whole case wide open and leave you in pieces, you cant decide a punishment then try and find a crime to fit it, it is not how the law works.

The SPL and its Kangaroo court, are as obsessed as the fans of the clubs you love, it’s all about Rangers and the jealousy and envy you have, we wont lie down, we wont go away, we wont give up, there are many more conflict of interests and coincidences that can and will be used when the time comes, your whole plans are unravelling.

You want a war?

We are better equipped and have more numbers, never forget that.
